Family Camp

Last weekend was our turn to host the Tremain Family Camp. It was relaxing and really good to be together - despite the rain. Ian and I were very lazy and stayed in our shed - 'glamping' - rather than digging the tent out and braving the elements. Camping in the sunshine is wonderful but IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE WEATHER. As far as I'm concerned there's nothing more depressing than crawling into a wet tent - or even worse crawling out in the morning to get to the loo through the mud and then trying to make breakfast whilst sitting cross-legged on your damp sleeping bag in a space the size of a plastic bag. Actually the weather wasn't that bad this weekend - we still managed to sit out round a fire in the field one night, and even lay out inthe sun by the time everyone was going home.

Anyway, most of Ian's family are more hardy than me, I admit it.... or maybe we just haven't got quite the right equipment.... hmmm
... anyway, the weekend also contained a LOT of food, particularly cake....

...chatting and debating (i think this converation was about photo-voltaics)
....chilling out (or in this case warming up) on the front 'porch'...
....and enjoying the newest member of the family - Tess, James' collie pup...

...or catching up on a bit of sleep.
